The OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises① on Responsible Business Conduct② (updated June 2023, first revision since 2011) expanded mandatory RBC due diligence to cover climate, biodiversity, and all forms of corruption, establishing a six-step framework requiring companies to identify, prevent, mitigate, and remediate adverse impacts across their entire supply chains and business relationships. NCPs in each member country are designated to handle specific instance complaints when companies breach the Guidelines.
