The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC, 1989) is the most widely ratified human rights treaty. The CRC has three Optional Protocols①: on the involvement of children in armed conflict (OPAC), on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography (OPSC), and on a communications procedure (OPIC). The Committee on the Rights of the Child③ monitors implementation and issues General Comments interpreting CRC provisions.
