The IAIS Insurance^① Capital Standard (ICS) is a globally comparable risk-based capital^⑥ standard for internationally active insurance^⑤ groups (IAIGs). The ICS provides a consolidated, group-wide capital requirement that reflects the risks of the IAIG. The IAIS adopted ICS version 2.0 in 2020 for a five-year monitoring period, with implementation as a prescribed capital requirement expected from 2025. The ICS is part of ComFrame^④, the Common Framework for the Supervision of Internationally Active Insurance Groups.
